Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are an effective way to prevent pit and fissure caries (cavities). Dental sealants are applied to the biting surfaces of your chewing teeth, which effectively "seals" the deep pits and grooves. Dental sealants are tooth-colored and act as a barrier, which protects teeth from decay-causing bacteria.  

Sealants protect the depressions and grooves of your teeth from food particles and plaque that brushing and flossing cannot reach.
